Progress Report 1
Here I'd like to detail the current state of the game.
I am nearing about 70% completion of the first ending for the storyline. Most of the foundation and framework has been laid, so I am hoping things take off a bit faster at this point. Art simply holds me back because I am constantly learning, improving, redoing old art, etc. and the mountain of artwork needed is immense.
This first ending that I have been working on is one of the more simple ones. Next, I would like to work on adding some more "real world" clues, such as real pictures, audio recordings, videos, etc. This is also just a time consuming, long process as I will likely have to find someone to model for Ava, need to figure out how I can work some of these more interesting details into the story, etc.
Story wise, I have Ava's character, her family, friends and the setting all very thoroughly written out. What needs more work is the specific details for each step of each puzzle for each ending. (It's a lot) The game is just now getting to the point where you can actually "kinda" play it. Though much content is missing, many placeholder textures are still being used, etc, there is good progress nonetheless.
If you have any suggestions, ideas, etc, please don't hesitate to reach out! To be honest I haven't found any other games of this specific type, so I would love some input from other people on how I could make this fun for YOU!
